This private residence in Chevy Chase, MD showcases Koppers Fabricators, Inc. expertise with various metals and finishes. In the rear of the property, galvanized steel green screens above the traditional columns added a visual effect above the patio area. The railings in the front, side and rear deck area, was a stainless-steel component system which Koppers Fabricators, Inc. installed. Another unique feature of this project was the sidewall and the front planter boxes. Both of these feathers were fabricated using Corten 3/8” steel plate. Corten steel plate is typically used in infrastructure projects such as pedestrian bridges and walkways. Corten is a product that will rust and discolor over time but only to a certain point. It’s a durable, strong steel product that adds a different design feature to this home.
