The three girls grew up in this family run business

The three girls grew up in this family run business and at some point all them answered phones, cleaned and even learned the fabrication ropes in the shop. In 2001 Joe and Patty’s eldest daughter, Evelyn Simmons, joined the company upon her college graduation. Evelyn has “been working with my parents ever since I was old enough to answer the phone”. When she was a teenager, Evelyn was nicknamed “Lady Ironworker” by one of our local material suppliers.

Over the years she has worked in the shop, helped in the field as an installer and has always had a hand in the office. Evelyn has tackled many jobs within the company and has transitioned into the office manager and human resource manager. She is looking forward to taking Koppers Fabricators, Inc. into the future and growing the business further.
